Clinical Laboratory Scientist
The Laboratory for Personalized Molecular Medicine is excited to announce career opportunity for a Clinical Laboratory Scientist. Our molecular diagnostics reference laboratory is seeking a team-oriented and motivated medical technologist to join our exciting company. Responsible for performing molecular testing in our CLIA and CAP certified laboratory.
Duties include:
- Performing all phases and aspects of testing such as pre-analytical, analytic and post-analytic,
- Instrument maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting,
- Performing quality control and quality assurance activities,
- Customer service,
- Assistance in reviewing and improving laboratory procedures and policies.
Requirements include:
- Current California clinical laboratory scientist license (molecular biology certification preferred),
- 1-2 years experience in a clinical molecular diagnostic laboratory
Desirables include:
- Knowledge of clinical regulations and previous experience with accreditation inspections,
- Previous experience in molecular oncology diagnostics including DNA and RNA isolation, PCR, RT-PCR, Real-Time PCR, Capillary Electrophoresis and DNA sequencing.
